A NEW canal marina at Barton Grange Garden Centre will welcome its first narrowboat on Saturday (September 27).
The brand new Barton Grange Marina at Brock near Garstang will welcome 'The Margaret Kane' at 2pm.
Barton Grange Marina is providing a free mooring for 'The Margaret Kane', a narrowboat operated by the Blackpool-based children's charity, the Kensington Foundation. The boat is used to provide respite holidays for families and carers of children with disabilities.
Guy Topping, MD of Barton Grange Garden Centre and his father Eddie Topping, Chairman of Barton Grange, will be at the Marina to greet their first narrowboat.
The Topping family built the Marina as part of the Barton Grange Garden Centre development.
They will be joined by other members of the Topping family and representatives from the Kensington Foundation.
