SCORES of homes in the Garstang area had their water restored this morning after being without a supply overnight.
United Utilities said supplies had been cut off last night due to a burst pipe in a field near Garstang.
UU engineers carried out emergency repairs on the 24in diameter pipe.
The main was switched off at about 8.30pm last night affecting properties.
There had been initial fears that up to 4000 homes could be affected, but work by UU led to a much smaller number losing their supply.
